Phillip Amereller

Co-Founder & Managing Partner

Before founding SIP, Philipp Amereller worked for 11 years for Cognetas – formerly Electra Partners – , an independent pan-European private equity firm, focused on mid-sized complex buyouts with a total equity volume of approximately € 2.25bn.

Philipp studied business administration with a focus on finance and accounting at the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel (Germany) with semesters abroad at La Rochelle and Berkeley.

Mark Elborn

Co-Founder & Partner

Before founding SIP, Mark Elborn was a Partner at Cognetas – formerly Electra Partners – a private equity firm with an equity volume of €2.25bn, focused on European midcap companies. Earlier, he worked for Legal & General Ventures GmbH (LGV) in Frankfurt for five years.

Mark Elborn started his career at KPMG in the transaction support unit, where he spent nine years in Düsseldorf and the United Kingdom.

Mark graduated from the University of Sheffield where he studied finance and accounting and is a British Chartered Accountant.

Christoph Dubber

Managing Partner

Christoph Dubber joined SIP in 2015 from PwC, where he was a Manager in the financial due diligence unit, focusing on private equity mandates.

At PwC, he worked on small, mid-size and large transactions. In an earlier position, Christoph worked as a project manager at Rocket Internet and was a member of the finance team during the company’s IPO. He studied business administration at Freie Universität Berlin.

Daniel Schmitz

Partner

Daniel Schmitz has been involved as an investor in all SIP transactions ever since the firm was founded. He joined the team as a Partner in 2020. Before that, he was a Partner of CVC Capital Partners and a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs.

He is a founding shareholder and Managing Director at Delta Dialyse Partner GmbH, a firm taking care of around 300 dialysis and apheresis patients. In addition to his in-depth knowledge in the health sector, Daniel Schmitz also gained extensive experience in education. Until 2018 he was a seed investor and Managing Director of Wichtel Akademie München GmbH, a childcare group, looking after approximately 2,000 children at 21 locations in the wider Munich area.

Daniel graduated from Yale University with a degree in French Literature.

Eric Groh

Investment Director

Prior to joining SIP in 2021, Eric Groh spent six years at Citi’s investment banking (M&A) division in Frankfurt and London. He holds a Master and Bachelor degree in Finance from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management with studies abroad at HEC Paris.

Bastian Stundebeek

Investment Manager

Prior to joining SIP in 2022, Bastian Stundebeek spent three years at Bank of America’s investment banking (M&A) division in Frankfurt. He holds a Master degree in Finance and a Bachelor degree in Business Mathematics from the University of Mannheim with studies abroad at Bocconi (Italy).

Lucas Kratz

Investment Manager

Prior to joining SIP in 2023, Lucas Kratz spent 1,5 years at Jefferies’ investment banking (M&A) division in Frankfurt. He holds a Master degree in Management from ESCP Business School and a Bachelor degree in Economics from the University of Frankfurt.

Jeanine Chivu

Office Manager

Before joining SIP in 2021, Jeanine Chivu spent nine years at Consus Partner as an office manager.
