Landbäckerei Sommer
The acquisition of Landbäckerei Sommer in late 2010 was Silver Investment Partner’s first investment. Sommer is a leading bakery chain in the Sauerland region, a renowned, traditional company with 54 self-operated stores at the time and modern production facilities in the very heart of its region.
When we bought the company as part of a succession plan from the founding family in 2010, it generated annual sales of approximately 16 million Euros. It was acquired together with a private investor, who sold his stake to Silver Investment Partners in 2015.
We appointed a new managing director and supported her in realizing the company’s growth potential – organically as well as by means of add-on acquisitions. The company was sold to AUCTUS in November 2020, at which time annual sales were 25 million Euros.
